Written by Chiaki Konaka (TEXHNOLYZE, HELLSING), the sci-fi anime series SHADOW STAR NARUTARU plays out like the dark side of POKEMON. While vacationing at her grandparents' house for the summer, teenage schoolgirl Shiina Tamai discovers a strange starfish creature she names Hoshimaru.
