Because of his brilliance and straight A report card, junior high school student Kiyo is frequently harassed by the mean kids at school. Part of this bullying is well-deserved, however, as Kiyo`s self-assured attitude can at times be too much. With the intention of helping his son, Kiyo`s father gives Kiyo the birthday present of a small boy named Zatch Bell. This boy creature quickly attempts to fix Kiyo`s life by adjusting his outlook and by attracting new friends. But where does Zatch Bell`s power come from?
