This dark and brooding Anime takes place in the future, when natural resources are in short supply and even light is difficult to find. In a gloomy location known as Dark Town, Sanada Hajiki works in the transport business for a company called Hachisuka Transportation. When a high paying client wants him to transport a substance known as Gad, Hajiki discovers it can transform into humanoid machines, also known as iron men. In theses episodes viewers become familiarized with the former lives of some of the main characters. Hajiki is torn between his late father's standards and moral idealism.
