A strange, inter-dimensional friendship lies at the center of the mahou shoujo (magical girl) anime comedy ULTRAMANIAC. Nina has traveled far from the Magical Kingdom to Earth in search of the five holy stones that will cement her position as princess. When she arrives, she meets Ayu, a high-school tennis star with a crush on baseball player Kaji. The two girls become fast friends, realizing that each can help the other succeed through pluck and magic. ULTRAMANIAC: MAGICAL TRANSFORMATION, VOLUME 5, contains four complete episodes. In these episodes, Nina and Ayu`s friendship is threatened by the appearance of Nina`s grandfather on Earth. In addition to this stress, Nina discovers something about Kaji that will not please Ayu. Will it all be too much for their relationship to take?
