REQUIEM is the second feature-length film sequel to the popular Anime series SAIYUKI. A blend of action, fantasy, and comedy that is based partly on a 16th-century Chinese folktale, and partly on a modern-day Japanese manga, the SAIYUKI franchise follows Buddhist monk Sanzo on his sacred mission to destroy demons across the land of Shangri-la. Sanzo is joined in his quest by three misfits, each with his own particular skills: the half-demon Goku, the magic-wielding Hakkai, and the lucky gambler Gojyo.
