From the creator of Giant Robo comes this remake of a classic postwar manga. Professor Kaneda, who thinks that he has lost his son during the heavy bombing of Tokyo during WWII, builds a robot, Tetsujin, to replace him. The robot is an ultimate fighting machine, and to keep it out of the wrong hands, Kaneda hides the robot on an island. Years later, the professor`s protigi, Shikishima, makes 28 attempts to reanimate the robot before he is finally successful. Tetsujin goes on to join forces with Kaneda`s son Shotaru, a young detective, to fight the good fight against the forces of evil.
