This iteration of the GUNDAM series takes place during the year Future Century 60, the year of the Gundam Fight tournament. Held on Earth, the tournament features one Gundam from each competing country fighting in a series of battles to win prestige and a certain amount of power for one's home country. In these episodes, the Battle Royale begins as all remaining Gundams are put on Lantau island and left to duke it out.
