Based on Rumiko Takahashi's (RANMA 1/2) popular weekly comic strip, URUSEI YATSURA was one of Japan's most popular television shows during its run from 1981-1986 which produced 195 episodes of the show. It follows the adventures of Ataru, a young man who is charged with saving the Earth by competing with a beautiful alien named Lum in a game of tag. In episodes 57-60, Ataru is accused of stealing food while Lum and Mendou meet a giant monkey. Later, Lum's father gets kicked out of the house, yet gives a speech on marriage.
