An unusual, experimental Anime series, FIGURE 17 combines science-fiction action with the slice-of-life schoolyard genre. Tsubasa is a shy little girl who sees a strange sight in the sky one night and decides to investigate. She finds a spaceship and its pilot, DD, who must immediately defend her from a maguar--the monstrous alien creatures DD was transporting. In the right place at the right time, Tsubasa becomes linked with a living metal that forms itself into a duplicate of her named Hikaru. Tsubasa and Hikaru can unite into one being, the fighting girl named Figure 17. Not just concerned with Figure 17 and her battle against the maguars, this Anime is also about Tsubara's slow socialization, and how the outgoing Hikaru used Tsubara's experiences of saving the world to draw her out of her shell. Roy is a member of Gabby's road show playing in the town of Deadwood. When Gabby is wired thirty-five thousand dollars he takes it in rare thousand dollar bills and is unfortunately robbed.
